In Loving Memory of Bryan Jamal Brown
Bryan Jamal Brown was born March 20, 1989 in Berkeley, California to the parents of Alex C.and Ruby J.Brown. In 1991, the family moved to Antioch, California where Bryan received his Elementary, Middle and High School education. He graduated from Antioch High School in 2007. After high School, Bryan attended Diablo Valley College (DVC) in Pleasant Hill California. He successfully completed the Year Up Job Training Program administered by “Salesforce” in San Francisco, CA where he was able to gain skills, experiences and support for his future goals.
Bryan was a very respectful, soft spoken, polite and caring person. He was funny at times, with a great sense of humor and loved to joke with others. He committed his life and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord arid Savior at an early age. He was baptized at First Baptist Church of Pittsburg, California where he was an active worker in the church, singing in the Angles, Youth and Young Adult Choirs, and also helped with the youth ministry and children’s church as he grew in the church body. Bryan was also an active member and servant on the Youth Usher Board.
Bryan held various jobs over the years including positions with Home Depot, Federal Express, Securitas Security Services and his current position with the City of Oakland as a Parking Enforcement Office where he has been employed over the past 8 years to present.
Bryan suffered from Sickle Cell Anemia, but had a real love for sports. Although he couldn’t participate at the level of others, he didn’t let his issue with the Sickle Cell disease stop him. As a youth, he played Little League Baseball and Summer League Youth Basketball. He was an avid Oakland Raiders Football Fan and Golden State Warriors Basketball Fan and throughout the years he attended many, many games of both teams. One of his greatest joys was the opportunity to meet his sports idols from the Golden State Warriors while doing his job with the City of Oakland.
Bryan was preceded in death by his loving Grandmother’s Florean Brown, and Ruth K.Aldridge; Uncles Glenn Mcintosh and Paul Mcintosh; and his beloved sister Chaznee Nicole Brown. Bryan leaves behind many who nurtured him throughout his life and will cherish his memory: his parents Alex C. and Ruby J.Brown; Brother Alex C. Brown Jr; Aunts Janet (Larry) Jones, Myra (Steve) Booker and Diane Mcintosh; Girlfriend Lashae Newson; and a Host of Relatives and Friends.
